Be the Change You Wish to See in Others

It is not that important to be liked and respected by others. 

It is much more important to respect others around you.

And like it or not – all of it will come back to you.

People always appear in your life with a purpose. The ones who stand closest to you are the best reflections of yourself at this very moment. Once you realize that, you can see what is going on deep inside you. 

If you don't like the other person and feel like ignoring or getting rid of them, you are actually denying or ignoring a part of yourself that you don't want to face.

It is not that you need to have a deep connection with everyone you meet on your way, but it is always good to take a closer look into your life and ask, "Is there someone annoying in my life, and somehow I can't understand why?"

If so, then they are a teacher to you. They will be in your life for as long as it takes for you to learn the lesson. 

If you keep denying that, life will keep making the lesson harder.

But once you accept that and make the change within yourself, you have finally learned the lesson, and the teacher is not needed anymore. 

The so-called teacher will slowly back away all by themself. The former teacher might also stay in your life, not as an unwanted and annoying person anymore, but as an accepted quaint part of your life.

In many people's lives, family members can play the part of the teacher by giving themselves and the people around them a hard time. They just don't know how to do it better. They do their best to play their part as family members. 

But again, we can't change others, we can change ourselves, and the others can only start changing through that. 

Even if sometimes it seems that we can't choose the challenges life brings us, we can choose how we take them on and how we react to them.

Be the change you wish to see in yourself and others, and you'll see how life will start changing around you!
