Why Stillness Feels So Hard Today

I've noticed that people have difficulty relaxing or even just sitting still for a little while. Why?

Because, for the longest time, all you might have heard is: "If you work hard, happiness follows!"

Media and society have brainwashed you into thinking that just sitting and enjoying what you already have equals laziness, thus not happiness.

So people just work and run around like crazy, not thinking, just doing!

The funny thing is that it couldn't be further from the truth! Why?

Because if you simply do without thinking, without really feeling love towards your everyday actions, never mindfully noticing what you´re going through, you are running further and further away from the true happiness that is somewhere out there waiting for you.

It does seem strangely unreasonable when you think about it, right?!

The Courage It Takes to Be Still

But here's the catch - you must be brave enough to stay in the stillness for a while, with yourself.

You must be brave enough to start listening to your own voice over all the other noises from the outside world, telling you what to do and who to become.

The Answers You Can Only Find Within

Only you have the correct answers to your biggest questions:

What is happiness to me?

What is love to me?

What is the purpose of life to me?

I believe in you because I know your worth!

Every single one of you has come here to be happy and loved!

And I know that you are brave enough to go within yourself and find everything you are looking for.

Just try it out, and you'll see that my faith in you was justified and true!

"Be the silent watcher of your thoughts and behavior. You are beneath the thinker. You are the stillness beneath the mental noise. You are the love and joy beneath the pain." - Eckhart Tolle

To wiser days and enlightened ways,

Anna💛
