The routine of your everyday life can become so overwhelming that you finally just give into this fast pace. Children, home, work, other responsibilities…there´s hardly any time left for taking care of yourself.
You can get so caught up in making everybody else happy, trying to match society´s demands, that you give away all your love and energy until there´s nothing left to give.
But let me gently remind you – you cannot make anybody happy until you haven´t made yourself happy first.
You can only give what you are!
And your happiness is entirely your own responsibility.
As long as you keep on waiting for somebody else to come and make you happy for you, the outcome will always be the same. You will be disappointed and broken.
So, start doing something only for yourself!
Even if it´s just once a week. A night out with friends, a concert, theatre, yoga, running, classes, reading a good book, listening to a podcast or a meditation app…whatever comes to mind!
Why? Because it will give you a chance to recharge your batteries and get your energy flowing again.
Once you step out of your habitual routine for a little while, you can look at your life with a new fresh perspective. Unimportant worries will suddenly fade away, and you´ll start being grateful for the big things in your life that really matter.
Or maybe you will finally see that you´ve been walking down the wrong path.
But with this newly found energy, you now have the power to turn things around.
Your little hobby, which you just love doing, will remind you of what it feels like to be in this energy of satisfaction, happiness, accomplishment, excitement, love, and gratitude. It will remind you that every aspect of your life should be full of such feelings.
It teaches you to move towards life, one little step at a time, where everything that you do or have will exist within the same energy.
I know you can do it!
And I know from my own experience that it is worth it.
Now, just go ahead and give it a try yourself!
